Our Mission is to Promote Human Flourishing
Since 1956, the Palmer Family has had the honor of serving the state of Indiana through their family-owned and operated businesses. In 2000, Eldon and Elaine Palmer, along with their children Marsha East, Barbara Tait, Donald Palmer, and Patricia Nichols formed the Palmer Family Foundation.
The Foundation's laser-focus is to actively pursue a highly relational approach to philanthropy. We donate greater than 80% of our funds to causes and organizations we are personally involved in throughout Central Indiana and NGOs abroad. We support both Christ-centered and secular organizations.

We highly value the ability to be self-reliant. The organizations which we support share this belief and goal. Through accountability, pro-active engagement, and powerful partnerships, we strive to accomplish our mission.
Our best partners thrive in an environment where trust, mutual respect, and co-creation can co-exist. We believe giving should be transformational and transactional.
Our best partners communicate consistently and welcome input and feedback. They view us as valued partners in mission.
Our best partners define excellence for their program and service delivery. There is a clear path to measurable results. They have a three to five-year strategic plan.
Our best partners have a business model and cost structure that demonstrate greater efficacy over time. They accomplish a lot with a little; their model is not wholly reliant on philanthropic capital.
Our best partners have a capable board, evaluate the CEO, and are a welcome source of wisdom.
Palmer Family Foundation does not have an open application process. However, selected organizations will be invited to apply.
